Frank Converse is an American actor who was born on May 22, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in theatre in 1962. He has featured in a number of television shows as well as a few films. He appeared on Broadway in The Philadelphia Story (1980), Bushido Blade (1981), Design for Living (1984), A Streetcar Named Desire (1988), and Lady in the Dark (1994), as well as Off-Broadway in The House of Blue Leaves (1971) and South Pacific (2000). In 2007, he co-starred with Hal Holbrook in Thornton Wilder’s “Our Town” at the Hartford Stage. Converse also performed late-eighties television ads for Black & Decker. Converse starred in three different TV shows: Coronet Blue, N.Y.P.D. (not to be confused with NYPD Blue), and Movin’ On. On One Life to Live, he portrayed Harry O’Neill, and on As the World Turns, he played Ned Simon, and he had a short part on All My Children. He also appeared in Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel as Morgan Harris (also known as “Anne of Avonlea”). He is presently married to actress Maureen Anderman after divorces from Carol Tauser and Astrid Ronning.
